Plastic Media
Plastic Media is a soft, subangular abrasive widely used as an alternative to chemical or hand-stripping. Plastic Media gently removes coatings without damaging the substrate. It is commonly used in the removal of powder coatings, the cleaning of molds, automotive restoration, and the abrasive blasting of soft or thin metals, such as aircraft aluminum.

Abrasive Blasting with Plastic Media is a cost-effective alternative to chemical or hand-stripping. Plastic Media is recyclable, making it environmentally-friendly and greatly reducing your abrasive cost.

Marco offers Plastic Media in three different types: Type-2 Urea Formaldehyde is the most popular of plastic medias. It is commonly used for the removal of powder coating or paint from soft metals, fiberglass, and automobile bodies. Type-3 Melamine is the hardest and most aggressive of the three types of plastic media. It is commonly used to remove light rust, pitted corrosion, and thicker coatings in the aircraft and automotive industries. Type-5 Acrylic is the least aggressive type of plastic medias. This soft media is ideal for polishing and light cleaning of aircraft components, fiberglass, thin gauge metals, and aluminum parts.

Plastic Media abrasives are made from recycled materials.
